Hello! I am Aubree Powell, and I am a Kindergarten teacher at Boulder Creek Elementary. I have been teaching for six years, and my favorite part of the job is watching that moment when reading finally starts to click for a student!

While every day is a fun one in Kindergarten, my favorite moment of the school year is always the First Day of School. I love the energy of meeting my new students for the first time and starting the journey of learning all about who they are and what makes them unique.

When I’m not in the classroom, I love being outdoors. You can usually find me kayaking or paddleboarding! I especially love spending time in the forest where everything is peaceful, calm, and surrounded by nature.

You can help your child get ready for Kindergarten by talking about school in a positive way! We want them to be genuinely excited to come to school. When they feel that excitement, it makes the first day drop-off so much easier for both of you!
