The Bulldog family is excited to announce the appointment of Principal Trent Bender in the upcoming 2026-2027 school year. Read on to hear about Trent Bender's passion for education in his own words.

"My former teachers and coaches, that I have been privileged to have in my life, taught me that learning could be fun and rewarding. Celebrating learning milestones like reading my first book, hitting a home run in baseball, and performing in band, theater, and musicals have inspired me to celebrate kids accomplishments. As a educational leader, I am motivated to provide our learners with opportunities to achieve and grow into lifelong learners.

Seeing the smiles, kindness, and joy of students, staff, and families both in the classroom and outside of the classroom each day make me passionate about serving learners and helping them be their best selves. Boulder Creek is full of positive energy and I am passionate about sharing that with our students and families.

Schools can provide a caring team of adults that are constantly modeling for learners how to be kind and spread joy, while also inviting families to get involved with activities on the campus. We can also provide active learning experiences in the classroom, with a focus on creating opportunities for students to share what they are learning. I want every student and parent at Boulder Creek to say that they learned something new and felt welcomed by the teachers/staff on our great campus.

Together we can build strong relationships between students, staff, and community, while developing strong partnerships with our families. I am committed to maintaining Boulder Creek’s legacy of excellence by serving students in their quest to become lifelong learners. It will be my pleasure to support our teachers and staff as we provide high-quality instruction while fostering a school culture where students feel safe, challenged, and cared for.

Fun facts about me: 1. My favorite memories in school were performing the lead role of "Curly" in my high school musical, "Oklahoma," and competing in the State High School Team Golf Championship. 2. I love to play in the Symphony of the Southwest with my wife, coach youth sports with my son, and support my daughter by watching her dance and act on the stage. I love running, hiking, and the outdoors. Every once in a while I love to hit the golf ball around the course too."
