Intermediate A.L.P. Mathematics
Room: 216

I'm Mr. Bailey, the new intermediate A.L.P. math teacher here at Boulder Creek Elementary School.  A.L.P. math is an enriched and accelerated course in mathematics designed for identified gifted students in grades 4-6.  If you'd like more information about gifted services in the Gilbert School District, you can find it at www.gilbertschools.net, or you can give me a call at 480-507-1404 ext. 216.

About Me

The 2018-19 school year will be my twenty-fifth year as a classroom teacher.  I taught intermediate A.L.P math and E.LA. for nine years at Meridian Elementary School and for six years at Playa Del Rey Elementary.  I've also taught high school and junior high honors English as well as drama and music.
I consider myself to be not only a teacher, but also an advocate for gifted education.  I am the parent of three children who are all graduates of the Gilbert Schools A.L.P. program.  My daughter Sara is a fourth grade teacher in South Carolina.  My son Jacob is a senior accountant at A.P.S. here in the valley, and my daughter Kelley is finishing her doctorate in bioinformatics at Stanford University.  My wife Michelle is also an educator and an administrator.  We first met in a classroom, and after almost thirty-three years of marriage, learning is still the "family business."
I am thrilled to have the opportunity to work with your extraordinary children.  It's going to be a great year!
